Know Jesus. Walk with Him. Grow with us.
You may be exploring faith, ready to follow Jesus, or looking for a church family where you can grow. Start where you are. You do not have to figure everything out alone.
The Romans Road to Salvation
The Romans Road brings together passages from the Bible's book of Romans to explain our need for salvation, what Jesus has done, and how we respond in faith.
1. Recognize your need for God — Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”
Sin is not only someone else's problem. All of us need God's forgiveness.
2. Understand both the consequence and the gift — Romans 6:23
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Sin brings death. Eternal life is God's gift through Jesus Christ—not something we earn by completing religious activities.
3. See God's love in Jesus Christ — Romans 5:8
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God's love is more than a promise of concern. Christ died for us while we were still sinners.
4. Believe in Jesus and confess Him as Lord — Romans 10:9–10
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9
The response is personal: believe in the risen Jesus Christ and confess Him as Lord. This is more than knowing information about Him; it is responding to Him in faith.
5. Call on the Lord — Romans 10:13
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
You can speak honestly to God, acknowledging your sin, asking for His forgiveness, and expressing your faith in Jesus Christ. You do not need impressive words. The hope is in Jesus, not in a formula.
Scripture quotations above are from the King James Version (KJV). The explanations are summaries, not additional Bible quotations.

After believing: The 5G Disciple's Path
Salvation is God's gift through Jesus Christ. Discipleship is learning to live as His follower. Our 5G path is not a way to earn salvation; it is a way to grow and serve after receiving Christ as Savior and Lord.
Gather
Come together with other believers to worship, learn, and encourage one another. Faith is lived in relationship with God and His people. Begin by joining us for worship. — Hebrews 10:25
Gift
Discover the gifts God has given you and use them to serve others. Your gift is not just for you. It can bless the church and the wider community. Ask where your gifts can meet a real need.
Go
Share the good news of Jesus Christ and reach out to others with His love. Begin with a personal conversation, an invitation, and a willingness to serve. — Matthew 28:19–20
Grow
Keep learning through Scripture, prayer, Bible study, and relationships with other believers. We grow together as we encourage, equip, and learn from one another. — 2 Timothy 3:16–17; John 13:17
Give
Practice generosity with your time, energy, resources, and financial gifts. Giving is a response to God's love, not a payment for belonging or salvation. — 2 Corinthians 9:7
These are continuing practices, not boxes to check once. We keep gathering, serving, sharing, growing, and giving as we follow Christ together.
Let's find your next step together
Knowing where to begin should not be a barrier to growing in faith.
Start a conversation.
Tell Pastor Shaw whether you are exploring faith, ready for baptism, interested in membership, or looking for a place to grow and serve.
Discover life at FMBC.
Ask about an introductory conversation and new-member learning opportunities: what we believe, how we worship and serve, and what commitment to this church family means.
Make a practical connection.
Explore a Bible-study or small-group connection, a place to use your gifts, and people who can encourage your growth. Ask about someone who can help you take those first steps.
Keep walking—and invite someone else.
Continue practicing the 5Gs. As you grow, help another person discover the hope of Jesus and a connection with His people.
